https://dcc.ligo.org/LIGO-T1200463 Summary of Suspension Final Design Reviews of which item 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,15,16,17,18,20 are quad related.
References to reports from these reviews are given in T1200463.
(i) 1 and 2 - Jeff Lewis has reviewed. One item back to SUS (Norna) is to ask Jonathan Hanks to fix links in https://awiki.ligo-wa.caltech.edu/aLIGO/Quad_Suspensions/FDR Else closed.
Note added by Norna 27 Feb 2014
Jonathan Hanks has sorted this out. The main link is here
https://awiki.ligo-wa.caltech.edu/aLIGO/Quad_Suspensions/FDR
and it has all the missing links added back in.
CLOSED.
(ii) 3 and 4 - Alastair comments. He notes that L1000357 and L1000003 contains actions. Norna will have Glasgow review then SUS team.
Question from Norna - i don't believe there are any open actions on L1000357. The ones noted in that document have subsequently been dealt with by Angus as noted in T1200492, the companion doc to the FDR checklist. Please confirm the committee agrees.
The L1000003 open action is being pursued with Glasgow for closure.
This is moving off-line. Norna.
Note added by Norna 26 Feb 2013 - the open action from L1000003 (monitoring bond noise expt. at Glasgow)is now closed, with a note from Angus added to the doc T1200492 'Notes on Completion of Actions from SUS FDRs', section 2.4.
Norna has also requested that Glasgow look over the Monolithic final design review doc T1000521 and update as needed, as it was noted by the review team that it was last updated in 2010
CLOSED.
(iii) 7 and 8 - Calum reviewed items 7 and 8. Item 7 is passed back to SUS (Janeen). Item 8 has two questions for SUS i) Was magnets and copper removed? ii) Has this been done to all suspensions including WBSC6 and WBSC8? (Norna)
Betsy confirmed to Norna that all quads being rebuilt at LHO are having copper and magnets removed, if not already done.
Janeen confirmed to Norna that all quads at LLO have their copper and magnets removed.
CLOSED.
(iv) Celine 15, 16 - Please send comment via homework or for next week. This is working off-line between Calum / Celine / Norna.
Update: Celine notes that for T050111,BOSEM Design Doc & Test Report, that there are TBDs and TBCs that need filling in on pages 18 & 24. Stuart has been tasked to update T050111 to a -v1.
Celine notes that the AOSEM FDD T0900286 is made for people with iLIGO OSEM knowledge and that is true, as it is based on outstanding comments from the Preliminary Design Review for the osem.
Celine notes that the FDD needs more drawing and BOM references, and that needs to be added. Janeen takes an action. Also, I will add a note to the DCC card for T0900286 that says that these are now called AOSEMs, which they were likely not colloquially called in 2009.
CLOSED.
(v) 17 and 18 - We have notes below from RIch on items 17 an 18. These are now closed.
Item 17 Satellite Amplifier and OSEM Fabrication Readiness - July 2009: The actions from the review suggested that documentation be written in the form of a user's guide detailing waveforms and principles of operation for the UK Satellite Amps. It doesn't look as though this was explicitly done (despite the notation saying 'Actions Completed'), but in my opinion there's sufficient information for the experienced user to piece things together from test documents and reports. No further action is deemed necessary.
Item 18 UK Top Driver Pre-production Prototype Bench Test and Evaluation - April 2009: Section 2.2 of T0900170 mentions that the capacitors used in the design are not available in the US, and that sufficient spares should be furnished with these boxes. That was probably never done, but I'm not concerned due to the extremely low likelihood of failure, and our sparing policy. The review report L0900098 includes some motherhood recommendations that I don't believe were ever truly pursued (things like we should strive to improve the output voltage noise at 10Hz etc.). I don't see this as any cause for action at this point.
CLOSED.
(vi) Fabrice 6 and 20 - All good. Closed
c) Supporting design documents
Supporting design docs are listed in the above document E1201038.

v) E1100337: Suspension Electronics Drawing Tree: this leads to electronics documentation, see also links at E1100604 aLIGO SUS Quad Design Documentation Rich A. TO DO Rich went down many rabbit holes in pursuit of a poorly documented electronics. Overall, there is a consistently good set of documentation should we ever have to recreate a particular circuit board. The only weakness in the drawing tree structure is that LHO does not have rack drawing information yet populated (there are a few, but not much). LLO is in better shape.
ADDED TO PUNCHLIST.
d) Drawings
