Abstract:

A method is proposed for lowering the Resonant Frequencies of a Silicon Nitride Membrane to be used as a test coating substrate, and be able to Measure the Quality Factor of Deposited Optical Coatings Used in Gravitational Wave Detection in the frequency range of interest and with negligible dilution factor.
